Neon Genesis Evangelion was a great revolution in the animated japanese series (anime)'s world. This had a huge impact in the every adolescent in the world and it was the rebirth of the anime.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is the historie of a young boy, Shinji Ikari, a very weird guy, shy and introverted. He'll never have a family, because his father is dedicated fulltime to NERV, an organization that tries to keep the earth safe and tries to repel the angel's attack.
One day, Shinji Ikari is required by his father, Gendo Ikari, a very important person in NERV and in the world. He is the third chosen children and must to be a NERV's employee. His job is to be the EVA 01's pilot.
The history is the following one: some things, known as Angels, attack the earth and the human being got the defense of some kind of robots named EVAs, but they must be piloted by special children and Shinji is one of them (just like Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Sohryu). When Shinji arrives to Tokyo 3, where are NERV's installations, he met to Misato Katsuragi, who is NERV 's head of strategy and tactics. She is the one to be in charge of Shinji, and they're gonna to live together.
Shinji has to go the school, deal with his fealings by Rei Ayanami (and also the feelings of a normal human being) and fight the angels, but he doesn't like that, not even his life is good to him, he sometimes preffer being dead.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a dark and weird anime, but is awesome!! All the characters have something special, they are peculiar but very interesting. The fights are great, and also the Evas and the Angels.
