Rurouni Kenshin is an excellent japanese animated serie (anime)! Rurouni Kenshin, in my opinion has the best history. It's based in real facts, like the downfall of the Tokugawa shogunate and the restauration of the Meiji period in Japan. This is when all the historie happens.
During the Meiji's restauration the authorities need a samurai assassin named Kenshin Himura, known as the Battousai. Kenshin Himura is the best samurai ever, he has two swords and a scar with the X form, this is why the serie is knows as Samurai X.
Kenshin has killed a lot of meiji's enemies and gain several people who wants to kill him. When the revolution ended, Kenshin wanted to leave his past begin him becoming a vagabond. He meets to Kaoru Kamiya, a lovely and nice girls who is in charge of the Kamiya Kasshin's Dojo, and he starts to leaving with her. Then, some new friends appear, like Sanosuke Sagara, Yahiko Myojin, Megumi Takani and Dr. Gensai.
Each character has his own history, sometimes dark, sometimes sad, but defenily very interesting. Kenshin is trying to clean his memory about the past helping all the people that need him. But he made the promess that he'll never kill anyboby else, this is why he is using a reverse-blade sword (sakabato), and with the Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu's style, he is almost invincible, but he lost his desire to kill and that personality that used to made him stronger, although his desire to help people improves this habilities.
There a many enemies to defeat, like Hajime Saito, Makoto Shishio, Aoshi Shinomori and so much more! The fights are amazing, excellents, awesome, there is no way to described them but you must see each fight.
Rurouni Kenshin has a lot of action, adventures and also fun. A really master piece in the Anime world .
